It's been a minute since I did a blog post. Life has been crazy. I have been making a few swaps here an there, but I haven't had the time to record them! So I thought I would walk you through a typical morning in my life with my nontoxic swaps.

I have recently started moving my phone to the bathroom to lower my EFM exposure while sleeping and to keep the temptation of doom scrolling at bay. So now I wake up with a sunlight alarm. I

ordered the Reacher Sunrise Alarm. In the morning 30 minutes before my alarm it starts to slowly light up like the sunrise. When the alarm goes off the lamp is at full brightness and birds begin to chirp. It is a much happier way to wake up than a blaring alarm. I am also trying to wake up with the actual time of sunrise, but that is so hard. I'm just not a morning person.

Once awake I take my thyroid medication and hop in the shower. In the shower I wash my face with my WithSimplicity ProAge Cleansing Milk and wash my body with my Primally Pure Body Wash. If its a hair wash day I wash and condition my hair with produts from Rahua. I then shave - I still use a "toxic" razor because I can't find a nontoxic one I like. However I do use Jojoba oil to shave instead of shaving cream.

I dry off using my towels from Amazon and certified by OKEO-TEX STANDARD 100. I moisturize my skin using my Desert Tallow whipped butter and put on my Primally

Pure Deodorant. I then dress. Most of my clothes are still normal "toxic" clothes. I have

not started on the journey of switching them out. Maybe in 2026! However I have switched out my underwear. I love the underwear from Huha.

I then do my makeup using Andalou tinted moisturizer, (I'm still in the market for a cleaner tinted moisturizer because this one has added fragrances, but I have to finish it first.) Dime mascara, and Primally Pure tinted lip balm. Now I am ready for the day.

I quickly make my bed with sheets from Amazon and certified by Global Organic Textile Standard. Then I head to the kitchen to make breakfast. I make my typical breakfast of 2 eggs and 2 eggs whites from my wonderful ladies in the backyard. I make these eggs on my Caraway pans (no nonstick stuff here) and use my wooden utensils. I also only used avacado or olive oil (no seed oils). I then make an iced protein coffee with Taylor Dukes Protein Powder in my Amazon glass coffee mug. I still use my Keurig and K cups. I know they are bad for me, but I haven't been able to make the switch... yet. It's coming though. I'm looking into this Espresso Machine from Amazon. Thoughts?

Once I am finished with breakfast I quickly clean up the kitchen using my Everyday Cleaner made from Thieves in a glass bottle from Amazon and dish towels from A

mazon that are certified by OKEO-TEX STANDARD 100. I then start the dishwasher using tabs from Blueland that are nontoxic and zero plastic. After the kitchen is clean I start a load of laundry using with Blueland nontoxic, zero plastic tablets.

All these changes have happened gradually and over 10 months. There are still lots of "toxic" things in my house and thats ok. Some of these switches were easy and some took trial and error. Some I am still not 100% happy with. This is a journey and each day I am moving toward a cleaner life. I am not striving for perfection just improvement.
